All Day I Face The Barren Wastes Without A Taste...
The remix scene is really dry right now. I think a lot of guys don't want to share the limelight because a lot of guys put out music just to end up with a remix stealing their glory. You should have made a better main mix

What does it take to get the notice of the public eye?
I'm beginning to think that you need to do 12 different things just to get noticed. I was at a party recently for kids and most of the music was from Youtube. Really?! I guess being Youtube famous is better than no fame at all. So apparently the dream of being discovered by a big label is dead and has been replaced by internet fame. I guess it's time to make some backroom videos and start posting them.

Still trying to get noticed...
Even with my remix on Halsted Street Entertainment I have yet to create that viral response needed to succeed in this business. Plus, every celebrity with a pulse now fancies himself a DJ these days. The fact is that if you are a celebrity, whether you are an A-lister or a reality star (which I would say is F-list at best), people will come to see a "star" in any capacity and the club owners know this fact. So how does this stack up for the average DJ? Someone has to make the mixes for the posers and set up for the celebs.

Trying to get noticed...
I'm finding that trying to build a fan base from nothing is not an easy task. Just saying you are a DJ/Producer/Artist was enough back in the day to at least get you a listening opportunity but not anymore. You have to have a song out and in rotation before anyone will give you a chance. To date I have no fans on Facebook and maybe six people are aware of my Twitter page. It takes a combined effort of Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and a host of other sites in a coordinated media blitz to gain the attention of the public. Even Paris Hilton had to hire her own personal paparazzo to follow her around and take pictures because no one is interested in her shenanigans any longer. Maybe she was the one that hired the flour bomber to hit Kim K. in the head.

Deciding what to be...
As I start this new adventure there is one thing that I forgot to do. What type of music will this new persona spin? The DJ that spins everything is apparently a thing of the past and new DJs seem to concentrate on one type of music. Should I do that with this persona? Should I wow the world and be the every DJ that I am in my main persona? Maybe the world can't take it...

Scratching my head and thinking about stuff
A long time ago I had a conversation with a buddy of mine. The subject was people and their loyalties to a DJ name/brand. My point was that a person could make up a name and get as many new people that the person had of loyal followers with his old name. Some people are fickle that way while others are very loyal. So here we go to see how many new fans I can make over the amount of old fans I have as an old DJ. Good luck in guessing my old persona.
